Andrew Scales, Homestay Administrator
Born and raised in St. Catharines I spent most of my time growing up daydreaming about packing my bags and leaving Canada to see the world. After finishing university I spent four years in Niimi, Okayama, Japan, teaching at 4 different schools with the Japan Exchange & Teaching Program. While in Japan I created my own community language program and worked closely with my city’s international committee planning homestay programs, sister city exchanges, and even international sporting events. After a few years abroad and a little time out in B.C. I came back to Ontario to look for my next opportunity. I’m thrilled to be able to bring my experience and passion for education and international student exchange to MLI!
In my spare time I enjoy cooking, planning my next vacation, and struggling to study Japanese.‹ Back
