Our Towns
Our
programmes operate in charming city neighbourhoods and small
towns with a population range of 5,000 100,000. They
have all been selected based on their desire to host international
visitors as well as the quality and variety of academic learning
programmes that they offer. Participants will be in a warm,
caring and safe environment where they can interact with friendly
and welcoming people.
We have the support of the mayor, members
of the local municipality, the local school board, the local
principals and educators, and the community at large.
All
towns are easily accessible. In Ontario we use Toronto as
our gateway, while in the rest of Canada we use Vancouver,
Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Halifax. We also use several
US gateways including Detroit, Chicago, New York, Minneapolis
and Seattle. The small towns are within a two and a half driving
radius or a 1-hour flight of the major city centers.
Towns are all beautifully situated near
lakes or mountains and are located in close proximity to some
of Canadas finest nature conservation areas, offering
the opportunity to enjoy an abundance of recreational activities
year round.
